Shipping Policy

We will ship your order to you fully insured. We urge all customers to inspect your package for damage or tampering before receiving or signing for receipt.

To help you plan when to expect your order, you’ll find an estimated shipping date listed in the product details for each item. For all available products, the estimated shipping date is listed on the detail pages, in the “Shipping Information” section.
If you place your order before the cutoff time on a regular business day (Monday through Friday), your order will begin processing that day.

If you place an order on a holiday, Saturday or Sunday, or after the cutoff on a regular business day, your order will begin processing the following business day.

If you will not be home to sign for your order, Charleston Alexander can ship your order to your place of work, or another more convenient destination. As a security precaution to protect our customers against fraud, when you order merchandise to be delivered to a destination other than your billing address, we will confirm that your credit card or financing company has this alternate shipping address on file. To help expedite your order, simply call your issuing bank and provide them with your alternate shipping address.

All orders are insured and shipped free via FedEx Priority Overnight®, FedEx 2Day®, or FedEx Ground® delivery service, based on the pre-tax value of your order.

Your item will be placed in either a tasteful pouch, or in a soft jewelry box tucked inside the distinctive Charleston Alexander gift box.

All loose diamonds and rings we set will be delivered via FedEx Priority Overnight®.When you receive your loose diamond or built ring it will be presented in a finely finished wooden ring box. Loose diamonds will be held in place by a tension-secured spring ring. The spring ring is for presentation purposes only and must not be worn.

  • Charleston Alexander will only ship to a street address, not a P.O. Box address.
  • Signature requirements for delivery:
  • For all orders , a signature is required, regardless of any waivers you may have with FedEx.
  • If you are unable to be available for signature on a weekday, we can arrange a Saturday delivery for an additional fee. Call 1.800.419.GEMS and a Diamond and Jewelry consultant  will arrange this for you.

Returns, Exchanges & Pricing Policy

For all internet purchases, excluding special orders or custom work, Charleston Alexander has a 30 day return policy. Special Orders are items NOT in stock, Custom Work is any item we create for you that is NOT a stock piece.

All items must be in their original, new condition.

If you are not satisfied, you can return any non-engraved item in its original condition for a refund or exchange.

To return a diamond or jewelry item to Charleston Alexander Jewelers, follow this process:

  • If within the US, call 1-800-419-GEMS for a Return Authorization Code. Write this code on the bottom of your original invoice and include inside the box.
  • Place all the original packaging in the box, including the appraisal and the certificates.

You can ship it via any carrier. Be sure to ship your item fully insured, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached its destination. Charleston Alexander Jewelers will not be responsible for loss or damage of return shipments.

Ship your package via US Postal Service Registered Mail, insured for the total value of the contents, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached Charleston Alexander Jewelers.

Once your return is received, it will be reviewed by our staff.
You will receive e-mail notification regarding your return or exchange within seven business days.
Any unauthorized, improperly packaged, or non-insured packages will be returned to sender.
Items that show signs of wear or have been resized (by a jeweler other than Charleston Alexander), engraved, altered or damaged in any way cannot be accepted for return.

At Charleston Alexander Diamond Importers, we stake our reputation on quality, accuracy and dependability. But, occasionally, even we can make mistakes.

Our online catalog is an extensive listing of our inventory. Despite our best efforts at maintaining the accuracy of product pricing, details, and in-stock status, a small number of the items in our catalog may be mispriced on our Site due to system or typographical errors.

We reserve the right to correct any and all errors when they do occur, and we do not honor inaccurate or erroneous prices. And, placing an item in your cart doesn’t reserve the price shown at that time.

If an item’s correct price is higher than our stated price on the site, we will contact you directly to discuss possible options. If your order has been shipped before a correction or possible solution can be made, you agree to either return the product or pay the difference between the actual and charged prices.

Our prices, and inventory, are subject to change without notice.
